Undercover NYPD cop; DID take part in the savage beating of Alexian Lien

October 8, 2013 New York City, New York (WABC7) – The off-duty undercover NYPD cop who denied any active involvement as his fellow bikers ripped a father from his SUV and beat him senseless was in fact hitting the car at the height of the frightening attack.

Sources have told the New York Post that the unnamed officer, who is a veteran of seven-years, initially told investigators he did not intervene because he arrived too late to stop the vicious beating.

However, video footage unreleased by the NYPD apparently shows the exact opposite and the officer, who has already handed in his badge and gun is facing the wrath of the Internal Affairs Bureau.

Despite this revelation, the police believe that they cannot press charges against the officer because another biker, Allen Edwards, 43, who punched the window of Alexian Lien’s Range Rover before he was attacked in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter had his charges dropped.

Manhattan district attorney’s Trials Division, Karen Friedman Agnifilo said that the city cannot chase everyone involved saying, ‘Prematurely charging individuals with low-level crimes does not further the goals of the investigation and could weaken the cases we expect to bring against the perpetrators of serious crimes.’
