September 5, 2013 Pittsburgh (WTAE) – Police said a 90-year-old jitney driver was shot multiple times and critically injured in Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Diane Richard said the shooting happened at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Homewood neighborhood when drivers in a white Dodge Stratus pulled up and opened fire.
Officers reported that there were six bullet holes in the driver-side door and three in the passenger side window. Two passengers in the car weren’t injured in the shooting.
Richard said police believe an unidentified man in the front seat of the car was the intended target, not the 90-year-old driver.
Two suspects are being interviewed but no arrests have been made. Police haven’t released the name of the victim.
